A Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (Anatel) está realizando hoje (24), em 15 estados, o bloqueio de telefones celulares sem certificação. Vão deixar de funcionar os aparelhos que não têm o selo de certificação da agência, que garante a compatibilidade com as redes de telefonia no Brasil.
Estão sendo bloqueados aparelhos irregulares em São Paulo e Minas Gerias, nos nove estados do Nordeste (Alagoas, Bahia, Ceará, Maranhão, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte e Sergipe); e em quatro estados da Região Norte (Amapá, Amazonas, Pará e Roraima).
O bloqueio nesses estados é a última fase do cronograma do Projeto Celular Legal, iniciado em setembro. A Anatel enviou 531 mil mensagens de aviso de desligamento a celulares irregulares.
Até o momento, foram bloqueados mais de 244 mil celulares em todo o país. O estado com mais celulares desligados é Goiás: 85,9 mil, conforme planilha da Anatel.
O selo da Anatel é colado atrás da bateria do aparelho ou no manual do telefone.
Segundo a agência, “o celular sem certificação não passou pelos testes necessários” e “pode aquecer, dar choques elétricos, emitir radiação, explodir e causar incêndio”.
Além da segurança dos usuários, a Anatel assinala que o bloqueio reduz o número de roubos e furtos de celulares, combatendo a falsificação e clonagem de IMEIs (número de identificação do aparelho), que é único e global.
